Calculate Insulin-to-Carb Ratio
Determine how many grams of carbs 1 unit of insulin covers
How to Calculate Your Insulin-to-Carb Ratio
• Think of a recent meal where you took insulin for carbohydrates
• Your glucose should have been stable before and after (within 30 mg/dL)
• Formula: Total Carbs ÷ Insulin Dose = Ratio
• Example: 60g carbs ÷ 4 units = 15:1 ratio
⚡ For More Accurate Results
If you include your pre-meal glucose, we can separate correction insulin from carb insulin for a much more accurate ratio!
